About Buzkashi by Cavalar

Rich Uzbek Culture

Discover the magic of Uzbekistan through an evening that encapsulates the rich culture and vibrant traditions of this beautiful land. At ByCavalar, we invite you to a unique experience – a night filled with the thrill of Buzkashi, mesmerizing traditional dances, and the grace of Akhal-Teke Turkmen Horses. Located just 5km from Bukhara, this is an event you simply cannot miss.

About Buzkashi

Derived from Persian words meaning "to pull a goat," Buzkashi has ancient roots. It's an ancestral game filled with daring as riders, amid a whirlwind of dust, vie to take possession of a goat or sheep's remains. Once a main attraction at weddings, this game spread across Central Asia and remains a symbol of nomadic culture.

Chavandozlar Maqtabi Riding School

The riding school, located in the "Sheikhoncha" district of Bukhara, trains over 100 young riders. Competing internationally, these riders carry forward the pride of the Uzbek people.

Akhal-Teke Turkmen Horses

Born nearly 4,000 years ago, the akhal-teke is Central Asia's oldest blood horse. It symbolizes the grace and endurance of the Turkmen people, who prioritize its breeding and recognition.
